Counselling & Supervision

"Never give up, especially on being yourself."

Sometimes, our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours can be in conflict, leading to personal challenges.

My mission is to empower individuals to achieve emotional well-being, personal growth, and meaningful connections.

Through compassionate, client-centered therapy, I strive to provide a safe and supportive environment where every individual can explore their unique challenges, develop coping strategies, and realize their full potential.

With over 12 years experience working as a counsellor, I offer family, children & young people and couples counselling - both online and in-person

"I can’t speak highly enough of Joanna. she has been supportive, kind and understanding and was able to tailor the support for the pupils so that they could overcome the trauma they had faced.

The impact on the pupils’ emotional wellbeing has

been fantastic as well as helping them to deal with the challenges they faced. Joanna worked brilliantly with the school to ensure the pupils received the support that was right for them.

I would highly recommend Joanna and Individual Minds."

Clinical supervision aims to enhance professional development of professional counsellors and promote the well-being of both the counsellor and their clients. The  supervision relationship is based on trust and mutual respect.

I create a safe, secure space to enable counsellors to, explore ideas, to discuss theoretical concepts to enhance their understanding and manage any safe guarding risks. I will support you to manage your case load, monitor your practise and support both your professional and personal development.

Restorative Supervision

Restorative supervision is a type of supervision that aims to support and challenge the individual when coping with difficult and stressful situations.

I encourage focus on the professionals own capacity to think and make decisions.

It can help each staff member to reflect on their own contribution to the situations they face and aid clarity of thought.
